Greetings! This is my first attempt on posting. Just want to share with you some pics from my company party. ExxonMobil held its new year’s party on December 17, 2005 (Sat) at the Bi-tech, Bangna convention hall. It was a family, fun-filled event.

It was an unforgettable experience indeed. As you may be wondering about the title of this post, my jeans actually saved my day. Up to the event, I totally misunderstood about the concept of the party. By the way, the company have a different concept or theme every year which demands a different dress code. So, I misunderstood that the dress code for the year was ’60s-70s. Obviously, I turned up with a flashy shirt & a die-hard, black bell-bottom pants. Fortunately, nobody saw me as I was just in the car unwilling to get down. From the car park, I saw most people dress up in jeans & even tagling their children along. Oh my, it was more of a family day kind of thing. Though some did wear some costume attire to enhance the party. However, I didn’t want to get down from the car as I didn’t want to make a fool out of myself and especially scare the little children away.

For 30 mins, I sat in the car talking with my colleague over the phone. She is trying to convince me that it is okay but I know that it will be the end of my social life. Then, I remembered that there is a pair of jeans in my trunk! I put it on & then my attire just blended perfectly with the crowd. Whew. . . I almost totally decided to go home & miss the whole event.

So folks, lesson of the day. Keep a pair of jeans handy. When those times you feel over-dressed, jeans can always save your day.
