Toto Pass the State University Examination!

Hi Everyone!

We are very happy to inform all of you that Toto pass the State University Examination for Civil and Environmental Engineering. We waited for a month for the result, so you can just imagine how happy we are when we finally know that Toto pass.

The University is one of the prestigious and tough Engineering University in Thailand and it’s called, Prajomkaew Institute of Technology, Bangmut Thonburi. The University is named after Rama 4.

In Thailand, to study engineering is tough. One has to be excellent in his or her studies in order to get in the State Universities, especially Prajomkaew, which is famous for engineering. Toto really worked hard since Grade 9 and truly concentrated on his studies, so he really deserves it.

I’m a proud mother because my sacrifice for my children was not in vain. Though Toto still has a long way to go but at least we can somehow have a glimps of his future.
By the way, Toto also plans to go all the way, Masters and Phd. He mentioned just yesterday that he had already try to get information how to get a schoolarship for MIT.

My Little on the other hand, is now in Grade 11 and she is also preparing for the State University exams next year. She is planning to take up Medicine and we are hoping she’ll make it because this is very tough in Thailand. I tried to persuade her to take up something else but it seems she is determine. She said, if she doesn’t make it, she may go to Philippines or she may take up engineering.

Well, I can’t close this without saying sonething about our Baby Daniel.
He is so adorable and already uttering different languages. We are very concern because it seems he is hearing too many languages at once. He utters Farsi, English and Cebuano. So far, I didn’t hear him say in Thai or Tagalog yet. His brother and sister speaks to him in Thai so I really don’t know what would be the outcome of this. Some says, he may get confuse and some says, it is alright because he’ll eventually able to distinguish which person to speak the language. Guys, what do you think? Please give me some advice on this matter.

By the way, I don’t know if I mention already, that Russell is ordained Pastor since July 2003 and working full time as a Pastor. But he is still teaching Art classes twice a week at Artist Residence.
Truly guys, I can’t believe that I would end up to be a pastor’s wife. Amazing! how the Lord Jesus change my history. I’m also now the leader of Christian Artist Life Group, which Russell and I pioneered. Recently, a famous Indian Christian Intrumental guitarist in the world, stayed with us at our guest house. He is on tour and travelling to 41 nations to proclaim the name of Jesus.

Well, this is long already so got to go. I’m missing everyone and I hope the Lord will provide financially for a trip to Philippines to see you all. I haven’t been there for a long time now. Anyway, you are all in my heart even though I’m far away.

My love to you all as always,
Amie

CORRECTION (17th of May, 2004):

Hello Everyone!

I just have to make a correction regarding the full name of Toto’s University, the name is King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi.
(KMUTT). Toto’s first semester will start soon and I’ll be going with him this coming weekend to see the University.

Toto will definetely take Civil Engineering, majoring Structural Analysis and Design. He will be staying in the University dormitory staying 4 students in the room.
I learned from Toto that those students who didn’t pass the State exam will be paying 60,000 Baht /Semester and for those who pass, like Toto, pays half.
We are so bless that we don’t have to pay full because definetely we would have a hard to suffort his studies. In fact, there are other expenses that we have to pay aside from tuition fees. Anyway, We continue to trust in the Lord Jesus for our provision. Take care everyone!

Always,
Amie
