Hi everyone,

As you all know by now, Adam and I became the proud parents of Jacob on the 30th of December 06. He was 7.8 pounds and 51 cm long and was delivered naturally. Both my pregnancy and delivery went very smoothly. The only hickup was being told that we were having a baby girl during our standard 20 weeks scan and then we requested another scan on the 33rd week just to ensure everything was going well, only to find out that we are in fact having a baby boy!

We named him Jacob Owen -

Jacob was a name that both Adam and I liked and also we later found out that the first Richter to migrate from Germany to Australia was Jacob Richter who was Adam’s great great grandfather and he named one of his sons Jacob who is Adam’s great grandfather (I hope this makes sense).

Owen - this is in honour of our cousin Owen Cal Maspinas who we never had the chance to get to know. He was born the same year as myself and Melchor.

We are all planning to return to the Philippines for Tatay’s 90th birthday in September. For those living outside of Philippines, please try hard to make it there so that we can all get together again. Who knows when the opportunity will come again.
